Lets Move ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile app and website (letsmoveapp.com).

Information We Collect

Lets Move does not collect or transmit any personal information to our servers. All data you enter — including your move address, move date, checklist progress, budget entries, and utility information — is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us.

On the mobile app, data is stored using AsyncStorage on your device. On the website, data is stored in your browser's localStorage. Neither is accessible to us.

Address & Location Data

When you search for an address or use any feature that requires location lookup (coverage check, commute estimate, EV station search), your entered address is sent directly to Google's APIs to return results. We do not store, log, or retain your address on our servers.

Address autocomplete is powered by Google Places API. Commute time estimates use the Google Distance Matrix API. EV charging station searches use the Google Places Nearby Search API. Coverage data is retrieved from the FCC Broadband Map API. All of these transmissions go directly from your device to those services and are governed by their respective privacy policies.

Push Notifications

If you grant permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device based on your move date. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any data being sent to our servers. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

Tracking

Lets Move does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers, build user profiles, or share any data with advertisers or data brokers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Google Places API — address autocomplete and EV station search
  • Google Distance Matrix API — commute time and distance estimates
  • Google Maps JavaScript API — interactive maps on the website
  • FCC Broadband Map API — internet and mobile coverage data
  • Expo (by Expo.dev) — mobile app infrastructure and local notifications
  • Netlify — website hosting

Data Storage & Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. We have no access to your data and cannot delete it on your behalf.

To delete all your data:

  • Mobile app: Open the app, go to the Data screen, and tap "Clear Cache" — or uninstall the app entirely.
  • Website: Open the Dashboard, scroll to the Data section, and tap "Clear Cache" — or clear your browser's localStorage for letsmoveapp.com.

Children's Privacy

Lets Move is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app, no data is transmitted to us and nothing needs to be removed from our side.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
